THE BLACKSBURG PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCES BREWdo A CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL AT FIRST AND MAIN Presented by WSLS 10
Saturday, October 24, 2009 Blacksburg, Virginia, July 23, 2009 – The Blacksburg Partnership, a non-profit economic development organization, announces Brew Do, Blacksburg’s first ever craft beer festival. The event will be held at the First and Main Town Center on Saturday, October 24, 2009, from noon to 6:00 pm, rain or shine. American craft brewing is a rapidly expanding industry. Brewers are often small, independent and traditional in the way they produce beer. Many of us have tasted craft beers without even knowing it. Blacksburg Brew Do will welcome the best in craft brewers from the Mid Atlantic region, offering dozens of varieties of beer, ales, and pilsners. The event promises a day of great beer tasting, food from Blacksburg’s best restaurants, and live entertainment in the inviting atmosphere of an outstanding shopping destination. Home Brewers won’t want to miss the Brewers Competition. “We were so happy with the success of Blacksburg Fork and Cork, our spring wine festival, that we decided to introduce Brew Do as a fall beer tasting event for the community,” said Diane Akers, President of the Partnership. “It will be a great new fall event, and we’re looking forward to sharing the experience once again with the businesses at First and Main and the beer lovers in our region.” Laura Beth and the Clover Hollow Boys will kick off the event, followed by Gov’t Plant. Check out www.blacksburgbrewdo.com for ticket sales and additional information or call 540.443.2008 for sponsorship opportunities. Reserved tables are available. Save the date for Blacksburg Brew Do.
